Commercial Equine General Liability Insurance

This type of policy coverage for those whose operations may include horse breeding, boarding, training, and riding instructions. The policy can extend to cover day camps and handicapped or therapeutic riding programs. Coverage is not available for certain types of equine businesses such as public trail rides or rough stock events.

Equine Professional Liability Insurance

Equine professional liability extends coverage to include occurrences of bodily injury or property damage arising out of the rendering or failure to render professional equine or equestrian services.

Care, Custody, or Control Insurance

This type of policy provides coverage for your legal liability for injury or even death of a non-owned horse that is in your care, custody, or control. If you are in the business of boarding or training horses for others, you can choose from a variety of limits that can be added to your commercial liability policy.

Private Horse Owners Liability Insurance

Private horse owners liability provides coverage for individual horse owners against third-party property damage and bodily injury claims. This coverage is not available to those involved in commercial equine business or if your horses are used commercially such as in a lesson program.

Riding Club Insurance

Riding club insurance provides coverages for horse riding or driving clubs. The policy protects the organization, its executive officers and directors, and the members with respect to their liability arising from the club’s activities they perform on behalf of the club.

Horse Shows, Clinics, or Equestrian Events Insurance

This type of coverage includes protection for the individual or organization running the event and also protects the show officials and premise owners. Coverage is provided for negligence that causes bodily injury or property damage to a third party. The coverage period includes the actual show/clinic days and can include coverage for set-up and takedown.

Director and Officers Liability Insurance

Director and officers liability is available for non-profit organizations, regardless of size, who may face a variety of claims or allegations for “wrongful acts.” The insured under this policy includes directors, officers, and committee members.

Equine/Livestock Mortality

Livestock mortality is a life insurance policy for your horse, with you as the beneficiary.
